No, it doesn't make me think that it might be the same jet and/or flight crew.
The Burbank incident was a 300 series while the Midway incident is a 700 series.
If I'm not mistaken, one or both of the cockpit crew no longer works for Southwest.  In any case, considering the number of pilots employed by Southwest, the probability of the same crew operating both flights would be very small.
