Boeing Completes $1.1B Order for 737s



   (05-25) 20:53 PDT SINGAPORE, (AP) --

   Boeing Co. said Thursday it has completed a US$1.1 billion (euro880
million) order for 20 narrow-body 737s from an associate company of
Singapore Airlines Ltd., with an option for 20 more. The delivery of the
737-800s to Singapore Aircraft Leasing Enterprise is expected to begin in
2006 and be completed by 2009, Boeing said in a statement. The leasing
company is jointly owned by Singapore Airlines Ltd., Germany's WestLB
Bank, Temasek Holdings and the Government of Singapore Investment Corp.
Singapore Airlines itself is majority-owned by Temasek, the government's
investment arm. It has over 60 planes leased out to 30 airlines worldwide.
