Continental Air Teamsters members OK contract (CAL) By Jennifer Inez Ward SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Continental Airlines Inc. (CAL) Teamsters employees approved a new contract with the company, the International Brotherhood of Teamsters said Wednesday night. The union said 72 percent of its members voted in favor of the contract, which runs from April 1 until March 1, 2009. The contract covers about 3,430 aviation maintenance technicians and related workers. Teamsters said the contract includes caps on workers' health insurance costs, a clause that prohibits loss of jobs through furloughs and stronger language in case of bankruptcy. Numerous items in the workers' current contract, such as their 401 (k) plan, sick leave and vacation time, are unchanged, the union said. Roger EWROPS
