Burbank field elevation is 725', while LaGuardia is 25'. I would guess that ambient temperatures at BUR exceed those at LGA. Not all of the field is at 725' and that is one of the problems if you are not running normal ops (Santa Anas, etc.). One of the runways inclines about 300' up to '725. Also, the ambient temps can get very hot. The main question is if the B6 A320s (which are at full thrust and MTOW) can take off from BUR with enough fuel to make JFK non-stop, reliably. This has been a source of debate at Airliners.net
