Delta Connection to add FLL flights Saying it is responding to customer demand for more nonstop service to popular Florida destinations, Delta Connection said it will domestic increase service to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport from nine destinations in the South and Midwest. Beginning Dec. 1, Delta Connection said its Chautauqua Airlines carrier will add service between Fort Lauderdale and Pensacola; Birmingham, Ala.; Charleston, S.C.; Dayton, Ohio; Greensboro, N.C.; Norfolk, Va.; Louisville, Ky.; Raleigh/Durham, N.C. and Richmond, Va. With the exception of Raleigh/Durham, the airline said the flights will be the first Delta Connection nonstop service to Fort Lauderdale from the cities. Delta Connection said it will run: One daily roundtrip between Fort Lauderdale and Charleston and between Fort Lauderdale and Richmond Two daily roundtrips between Fort Lauderdale and the cities of Birmingham, Dayton, Greensboro, Norfolk, Pensacola and Louisville Five daily roundtrip flights between Raleigh/Durham and Fort Lauderdale The airline said it will operate the new service with 50-seat and 37-seat Embraer Regional Jet aircraft.
