Herman,
These fees are for NOT booking on the website. I can understand their
reasoning , BUT their websites, including the UAL.com that I use A LOT is
not able to do everything I want. You cannot:

- Book a certain fare by entering a class of service, or a fare basis.
- Use credit from another ticket to book a new reservation.
- Request an upgrade on a star alliance airline.
- change your seat before being able to use EasyCheckin..

And some more that I might be leaving out..

Soon, expect them to change their numbers to 900..
