Is US Airways of a size that if liquidated could cause a nasty ripple
effect through the airlines?

Or would it be beneficial?

Would other airlines be able to pick up the extra volume? Most airlines
are flying at their highest load-factors in years.

In terms of some of the assets, who would want to, or even have the
cash to buy them?

The shuttle has always been appealing, but if you were UAL's bankers,
would you (at the moment) let UAL buy the shuttle operations?

US Airways caribbean operations may be appealing to Continental who is
making a push, but would you lend Continental any cash to buy them?

Interesting conundrum.
