Delta's got operations at all three airports, the shuttle, international stuff and the usual mix of long haul and short haul domestic stuff. Delta's got a huge operation out of the old Pan Am worldport, the split operations at LGA (Shuttle in the marine air terminal, everything else at the other end of the airport, next to NWA) Short haul stuff on various regional jet partners, and some operations out of EWR, because, well, you've got to cover EWR if you're doing NY. One has to wonder how well the Florida stuff's performing, in terms of yields, given all the low cost competition. DL's pretty far back on the transcons as well, certainly behind AMR and UAL in profile, and sort of next to Continental, but with less of an integrated hub to back it up Be interesting to know what's working out of the JFK international operation, and what's costing them. International's been holding up better than domestic for most carriers, due to less low cost competition, but it's hardly pain free. Food for thought. - David
