Airline orders two 747-400 freighters



   (07-29) 17:47 PDT SEATTLE (AP) --
   Air China Cargo Co. has ordered two Boeing 747-400 freighters worth a
total of about $400 million at list prices, Boeing Co. confirmed Thursday
in a news release.
   The planes will be used on the carrier's routes between China and North
America. The first is to be delivered in November 2005 and the other in
March 2006. They will be powered by Pratt & Whitney 4056 engines.
   Air China Cargo Co. is China's largest cargo airline, serving 36 cities =
in
27 countries.
   Boeing shares rose 67 cents to close at $49.68 Thursday on the New York
Stock Exchange.
