But, does it have the passenger traffic that Dublin does? It sounds like
the Irish governtment is the reason SNN is so busy. - Not that I'm
complaining, mind you.

I would imagine that is it still a hoping place.  It
has at least two
heavy base maintenance facilities for wide-bodied
aircraft, not to mention Aer Lingus.
