In addition, you have to keep the approach fairly high in order to stay above the jet blast from airliners waiting between the runways for departure on 19R. Interesting runway... All these precautions did not prevent an early-solo student to make a fatal somersoult in a Cessna 150 due to wake turbulence a couple of years ago. The amount of traffic that they manage to move at SNA is amazing. In good years it is close to Schiphol's traffic on five runways.
