4 AIR has open the web site at www.4air.it . In that web site are available
some details regarding the philosophy and the probably task and target of
that carrier. Its an entrapreneur project for a cargo carrier to the Europe
and North Africa.
The idea of this carrier is to carry on freight, parcels and mail in Italy,
Europe, North Africa especially to small airport so close to the major
destinations. The intention is to operate in the system of low cost
operation also in this market. Tempting to allow the air cargo as the most
competitive system to transport freight despite of the other traditionals.
The target is to have customers such as:
- european and global express cargo couriers
- international and domestic shippers;
- private companies;
- public agencies.
The airline hopes to operate with international couriers with a just
established structure for the collecting and delivery of the parcels in
Europe and North Africa.
In the first time hopes to operate point to point. Successfully the airline
hopes to establish agreements and cooperations with local shippers
in order to manage the shipments from the collecting to the delivery to the
final customer. This is the target to offer in a second time a direct
service to private companies and public agencies.
Two BAe146/200QT is the planned fleet for a gross payload of 11500Kgs The
various configurations are:
- 6 108'x88' pallets plus one half pallet;
- 4 125'x96' pallets
- 9 LD3 containers
The idea to built this carrier starts in Feb. '03. In March 2003 has been
start the collecting of the datas regarding the traffic and the type of
aircrafts. Between May and July the data elaboration. In the fourth third
was been set up the business plan.
The market researches starts in the first third of the 2004. Next
milestones is the airline set up. July is the time for the aircraft deals.
Start up operations in the range from September to December.
AIR ALPS has modified the time schedule for this coming summer 2004
Will introduce with effect June 16th. 2004 the weekly Pisa-Olbia on
saturday. Four weekly more from monday to thursday starting Aug. 2nd. 2004
to Sept. 2nd. 2004.
Dropped the route Siena-Olbia planned weekly on saturday.
Route Olbia-Perugia is now twice weekly on saturday and sunday. Dropped the
rotation planned on friday.
The route Genoa-Olbia is now available from monday to thursday from Aug.
2nd 2004 to Sep. 2nd. 2004. Confirmed the rotations on saturday and sunday.
Genoa-Alghero planned in the previous timtebale edition is now dropped.
AIR BOSNA is reported to be back with regular services from Sarajevo to
Rome FCO with an ATR72.
AIR EUROPE, applied a small title on the A330/200 I-VLEF.

VOLAREWEB continue the expansion out from Venice with more flights and
destinations.
With effect June 3rd. 3 times a week from and to Warsaw in sharing with Air
Polonia.
June 10th. 2004 three times a week on mo, th, su from Venice to Ibiza.
Palma de Mallorca is served two times a week on tuesday and saturday. One
times more for both the Balear islands destinations from July to September.
July 15th. 2004 sees new flights from Venice to Valencia, twice weekly on
thursday and saturday.
In operations from May 14th. 2004 the route Venice-Athens in August will be
increased from two to three times a week to cover the demand for the
Olympic Games.
Both flights are operated with 150-180 seater A320's. Volareweb has carried
more then 4 million pax in the first year of operations.
