I read about big mess at Atlanta secutiry with 2-3 hour lines today and this was the scene forcast for many airports this summer season I realize the air carriers can "wash their hand" of this claiming its beyond their control and just to bad for the passengers who missed their flights. In real life, what did Delta do to handle the probable mass of missed flights today? Does anyone know if they delayed flights or made a real effort to rebook missed flights ? All the advertising in the world about their "Friendly People, helpful etc etc" aren't worth very much compared to how they actually react to a situation like this one.
