CHICAGO, May 3 (Reuters) - US Airways said on Monday that Chief Financial=
 Officer Neal Cohen has resigned, a year after the carrier emerged from b=
ankruptcy and following Chief Executive David Siegel's recent decision to=
 step down.

Dave Davis, previously the airline's senior vice president of finance, wi=
ll replace Cohen, effective immediately.

Cohen had an option in his employment contract, similar to the one exerci=
sed by Siegel, that permitted him to leave the company with certain benef=
its. Siegel's option entitled him to collect roughly $5 million in severa=
nce. =
