the $50-100 you're trying to save probably won't be worth the aggrevation. it may be worth it when making an intl connection, but there's numerous options from a single carrier domestically that interline conx are not worth the effort. kr -----Original Message----- From: David Mueller <dmueller7@xxxxxxxxx> Sent: Apr 2, 2004 7:44 PM To: AIRLINE@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: LAX Question Dennis W Zeuch wrote: > Isnt that strange--never had to exit the airport and come back in thru > security to make a connections anywhere else.......is there a special line or do you > have to check in all over again.? Does the baggage make it ok? LAX is not well designed for connections, especially interline connections. There is no special line for security. Unless United Express in TUS is able to issue your America West boarding pass, you will have to check in with America West in LAX. If you have an e-ticket, you could try using America West's web check in before you leave home, or use a kiosk at LAX. Your bags should transfer fine, just make sure the United agent knows about your America West connection and tags your bags appropriately. -- David Mueller / MRY dmueller7@xxxxxxxxx http://www.quanterium.com *** Read the Airline List FAQ and http://airlinefaq.tripod.com ***
