  Hey Clay.

Just hope you dont find yourself sitting
beside Baha on one of those flights - that
would NOT be a happy fun filled trip......

Yeah, we're not talking first class here. If I wanted and could have
afforded first class, I would have flown AA/AS.

Actually the more I think about it, the more excited I get. I want to
see, first-hand, this legendary Southwest service. Hopefully it will be
a riot! Only thing I want is to sit with my friend (who's actually the
love of my life). The four flights we're on are not that long, so if
somehow we get crappy seats, we won't be on the plane that long.

We're talking coach, not F and UGS so let's disregard your big butt 18
  inch
wide seat and your 37 incher. The issue being discussed was the
  so-called
"cattle car boarding process", not the other amenties.

The plankton, er coach, pax are still boarded by seating area on UA and
  is it
really all that different than Southwest boarding by groups? A line
  down the
jetbridge is a line down the jetbridge, no matter how you cut it. At
  least
at Southwest a guy with a $49 ticket has a chance of boarding first with
  a
choice of any seat on the aircraft if he is first in line in the "A"
  boarding
group, unlike Untied which boards the F & UGS pax first and then by
  seating area.

There are plenty of people on Untied who have booked late, paid an
  absolute
fortune because they bought a "last minute ticket" and they end up with
  sucky
middle seats in between two fatsos with seat pitch no greater and
  sometimes
less than Southwest. On Southwest they have a chance of getting a darn
  good seat
if they play their cards right and get to the airport, or get their
  boarding
pass printed online, at the right time.
