Real Player plays AVI files. So can the Windows Media Player. However, I
was looking at the file name (unitedcommercial.avi). The text for the link
says Windows Media File (which has an extension of WMV). It does the in
twice places, no less.

I've watched this commercial twice now. Hopefully UA will not be keeping
the ad agency too long. It has got to be one of the lamest airline
commercials in a long time.

When I clicked on the WMV file it opened in Windows Media Player.

You must have a wrong setting somewhere David.

Just noticed something on this UA page - it's WRONG!

Here's a quote:
Take a peek at our upcoming ads (PDF), commercial (QuickTime Movie or
Windows Media Video, 4.5MB) and newly painted plane (pdf).

The Windows Media Video is actually an AVI file which defaults to the Real
One player.
