No FF credit for those fares, so I have banned them.

Correct me if I am wrong but United is allowing you to standby for every
fare basis that they sell, except for Hotwire/Priceline stuff. I don't
think Tyler was flying with those fares :)

The priority airport standby is only valid if the fare that you paid
permits standby travel.  Again they are only going to waitlist you for a
flight if your fare permits changes.  I think they only board Gold
members first on international flights.

I say:

Continental had no problem putting me on standby for several earlier
flights than the one I was ticketed for.  I got the first EWR-CMH one
for no extra charge in early December.
