BA planned three round trips per week from London to the Pakistani capital, Islamabad. The service, which had stopped Sept. 12, 2001, will resume Dec. 1. Geoff Want, British Airways' director of safety and security, said the airline had determined it was safe to resume flights after a review of security measures at the Islamabad airport. "Since our flights were suspended our team of security experts has worked closely with the Pakistan authorities and the British government to keep the situation under close review," he said.
