LGA is preferred because is great for getting quickly into uptown Manhattan, Weschester Cty, Conn etc, upstate(as for midtown and downtown Manhattan...depending on time of day and where you're headed..then all 3 might as well be the same distance-actually I prefer EWR because you're in Manhattan in no time). So if Virgin USA or whatever gets off the ground...they most go for EWR and JFK 1st to connect with their Intl' svcs out those ports 1st then go shopping for a gate at LGA later..do it the old fashion way..acquire a small carrier with roots already at JFK. greg
