Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later... Embraer disclosed that one of the pre-production EMB-170-100SLs (PP-XJF, = c/n 0004) experienced last Sunday a mishap while landing at the company's fli= ght test and production center located at Gavi=E3o Peixoto. Apparently the aircraft's main landing gear retracted upon touch-down, causing damage to the engine nacelles and rear fuselage section. Fortunately, the crew did not sustain any injuries (ego not included) and the company has asserted that that the aircraft will be repaired within weeks. What bugs me is that this is the second similar mishap that has occurred with the EMB-170 at Gavi=E3o Peixoto. Jackson
