I have had many go-arounds in airliners.  Here's a few that I can remember:

Air Canada DC-9 at Rouyn-Noranda, broke out of clouds on an NDB approach too
too fast, too high and too close to stabilize, had to go around.   Second
attempt, same result.  Divert to Val d'Or.

Eastern Provincial Airways B737 at Stephenville NFLD.  Had to go around in a
blizzard, lost sight of runway on short final.  Successful landing on second
attempt.  This was a real white-knuckle affair, turbulence, snowstorm, high
winds, etc.

Air Ontario Dash-8, due to traffic ahead not clearing in time.

Asiana B737 at Kunsan, Korea, military F16 declared an emergency and we had
to break off our approach on final.

Air Canada B767-200 at  YUL, traffic ahead didn't clear in time.
