I thought it was the hydraulic fluid being pumped through the aircraft.

Funny.  They are not so boring to look at.  They are the chubby kids of
the
air, especially 319s and 318s.  So, what is the sound really.  I have
never
heard it on a 737, and they mostly carry the same engines
