The Korean war ended in 1952. The first KC135 was delivered in to the AF in 1957. The Vietnam war started 1961 or 62. With a whole mess of 'em delivered in the 1960's, I would say it is a Vietnam era aircraft. Now, why the hell the air force is leasing the 767 than buying them is beyond me. I didn't read this article but in another article I read that the lease cost is more than the purchase price.
