5.7.03 (7.5.03) US6210/UA1536 ETD ? 1055 local ETA ? 1318 local ATD ? 1125 local ATA ? 1403 local ORD-PIT UA 737-300 Hello all! I got up around 7:40 and the taxi came 40 minutes later. I left 10 minutes later. We got to O?Hare 20 minutes later. Checked in and got the 4s?s on my ticket. I still don?t understand why I had to take off my sandals. I mean it?s pretty visible if I had wires running out but I suppose that they could go inside. Well anyways we all got the 4s?s. (My bro, mom, sister and I). I?ve said that about 3 times now? LOL. Departure gate is now B1 changed from B8. When we got to the gate, there was a B735 going to DFW. We found out that the flight was delayed 35 minutes due to aircraft availability. It turns out that we had TSTMS early in the morning and most of the planes got delayed. Our departure time got changed to 5 minutes earlier so that means we left a little early. The plane came in around 10:50. It?s N330UA. We boarded and I had rows 16A-D. Ch 9 is available so this part will be more detailed than the rest. The flight time was about 73 minutes. Beverages only. I got to have row 17A-C all to myself. What?s ground metering? The flight was pretty wide open and I was 2 seats behind the wing. Flaps 5 and take off was from 22L via Txwy B, D, 22L. I saw the KE 777, BA 777, MX A320, JL 747, 2 UA 777. We taxied pretty fast. We started to taxi at 11:34 and we took off at 11:42. We were cleared and once we took off, we turned left to 140 and then contacted Chicago Departure. We called them at 1,700 and were told to climb to 5,000. Then we climbed to 13,000. It?s kind of cloudy. After we turned to 040, we turned to 070 passing south of Meigs, US Cellular field, and Navy Pier. We turned right to heading 090. We were told to climb and maintain FL230. Contacted Chicago Center at FL212 for FL230. Made land over Michigan, contacted again at FL217. We were told to climb to FL290. Our route today was ORD-Lake Michigan-Michigan ? Toledo ? Cleveland ? Akron/Canton ? Pittsburgh. Our ETA into PIT was 1342. We turned right to direct to somewhere. I couldn?t hear as my sis had to blast her music. Grr. There were dark clouds over Lake Erie and Toledo. Soon we were cleared directly to Akron/Canton. Soon we started our descent and it was about 26 more minutes until we touched down and taxied to Gate C53. We started to slow to 2 something knots and down to FL240. Then we contacted Cleveland Center at FL280 for FL240. Soon it was then down to 17,000. We had some mild turbulence (I really like turbulence? well not gut wrenching turbulence but good heart pounding jolts). We contacted Pittsburgh Approach at 11,000 ft. We were cleared for the Visual Approach RW 32. We flew at 150 for Vis. Appr. RW 32. We then descended to 6,000-turn right 160 then left to 120. It was kind of cloudy and it looked like it was gonna rain. We turned right to 210 then down to 3,000. Flaps 20 I think? We turned right to 180 and then right to 230. We reduced speed to 170 and RW 32 was in sight. We were behind a Jetstream. We were on 7 mile final. We contacted Pittsburgh Tower and landed at 1336 local. The gear came down at 1337 local and we landed at 1340. We went all the way on RW 32. We got to the gate at 1346. 5.7.03 (7.5.03) US5058 Beech1900D ETD: 1620 ETA: 1700 ATD: 1620 ETA: 1645 PIT-JST Well I went to McDonalds and then met my friend?s flight at 1531. Then we went onto Johnstown, PA. It was on a B1900D N330CJ. We left out of E11. Its takeoff was powerful but I felt like we were going to drop out of the sky. Well there wasn?t much going on except that we landed 15m early. Went to go claim our bags but none of them showed up. 1 of them had the heavy tag on it. It was 51 lbs. My mom called them and said that it would come on the next flight but my mom insisted that it would come tonight? She had to sob to get her point through. US said that it was United?s fault and vice-versa. Eventually they showed up around 4:00 am. I lost sleep over my bags too. They were supposed to come around 2200 but never showed up so we were told 0200-0300+1 but it came at 0400+1. JST-PIT 10.7.03 (7.10.03) US5077 Beech 1900C ETD: 1145 ETA: 1225 ATD: 1210 ATA: 1257 Well it was kind of cloudy as we left UPJ around 1015. We got there and checked in. The plane came 20 minutes late. My bag got searched as I had my sister?s boom box in there. We boarded on N210CA I think. We sat on the taxiway for like 20 minutes. The pilot said that PIT was misty and it had to do w/ spacing. Soon he told us that PIT was down to 1 out of 3 runways. We took off around 1210. We flew minimum speed for 10 minutes due to spacing. We landed and came to the terminal around 1300. My friend had to run as they had a connecting flight to DCA, which left in 15 minutes. He lives in HSV. He told me that they arrived late into DCA and which they also held the flight for them so they could go to HSV. It was a bumpy ride in which I really like. There?s nothing about a plane w/ a good ole heart-wrenching jolt. We came into E7. PIT-ORD ETD: 1550 Local ETA: 1621 Local ATD: 1552 Local Actually took off : 1630 Local ATA: 1655 Local Well after McDonalds we went to B27. I kept checking the monitors to see if the plane was going to be delayed after I kept hearing about TSTMS all day. Not much to say about being in B27 except that it?s annoying as the moving walkway ends and all you hear is that how it is ending and to watch your step. We were on N505AU, which came from ORD and was departing back to ORD, which was a 733. We pushed back normally and soon as we got to the runway, the pilot said that we?d have to go to the ?penalty? box, as there was storms in our departure path. These storms were from IND. We took off ahead of some 7 or 8 other aircraft. The pilot said that it only affected west-bound flights. We took off 45 minutes late and I thought you know, why didn?t the PIT just delay boarding? Saw many aircraft waiting and I actually got a chance to see the new NW logo on it?s DC9. It was moderately turbulent for about 200 miles. We started our descent and the WX in ORD was Partly Cloudy to Overcast skies western arrival w/ winds out of the NW @ 25. BTW I?m in seat 9A right next to the engine and the wings so I got to see that the thrust reverser looked like. The temp in ORD was 79ºF. We took off on RW 28L. We flew right over Gary, IN and made a turn to 360 to go past Meigs, The Sears Tower, and Navy Pier. We turned again to land on RW 32L. We landed at 1655 and got to gate F8. Codes: ORD ?
