Ocean County-to-New York seaplane service to begin Published in the Asbury Park Press 6/18/03 Seaplane passenger service between Harvey Cedars and E. 23rd Street in Manhattan will begin June 27 with a 1:30 p.m. flight from New York. Richard O'Such, Long Beach Township, is president of Shore Air Services, which made the announcement of the summer service. The 35-minute flights will seat eight passengers aboard a Cessna Caravan turboprop aircraft. There could be as many as three weekly flights in each direction, depending on demand. O'Such is a Vietnam-era Air Force pilot who is a senior captain with American Airlines. Charter flights to metro airports and center city locations with seaplane facilities such as Atlantic City will also be available. -- Bill McLaughlin
