I'm sure the F28s don't have the legs to make to LGB (QX was flying them SEA-FAT, though). I'm just suggesting flying F28s into LGB (which they can do to their hearts content because there are plenty of small-plane slots) would be a way to apply a little pressure to the locals. The F28s are without question the loudest things that operate at SEA! It seems dumb--noise is the name of the game and a 737-700 is a heckuva lot quieter than an F28, yet which one are they allowed to fly? Weight-based rules seem really stupid. I'm sure Larry Ellison agrees! And I actually flew AS from LGB to SEA (with a stop in OAK) once. The highlight of that trip was it was my first time on a plane with the "new" (i.e., the current) livery.
