Star Alliance approves US Airways admission NEW YORK (Reuters) =97 Star Alliance, the world's largest airline=20 partnership, unanimously approved the admission of US Airways Group on=20 Saturday, expanding the alliance's presence in the eastern United States=20 and the Caribbean. Star Alliance, led by United Airlines and Germany's=20 Lufthansa, will integrate US Airways' frequent flier program and network of= =20 routes. Arlington, Virginia-based US Airways, which emerged from bankruptcy= =20 at the end of March, has said its inclusion in Star Alliance could=20 eventually boost its annual revenue by about $75 million.
