Hello from bizjournals.com! David Mueller (dmueller7@xxxxxxxxx) thought you might like the following article from Pacific Business News: United Airlines skirmishes with its regional flight provider ------------------------------------------------------------ Since winning wage cuts, United Airlines has been quietly gathering strength to emerge from bankruptcy, but there was a bump in the road this week when a key partner of the airline showed signs of heading for the exit. United outsources United Express regional service, which feeds traffic to its mainland route network, to a suburban Washington, D.C., company called Atlantic Coast Air that provides similar service to rival Delta. With Delta offering more business and United driving a hard bargain, Atlantic indicated this week that perhaps it would simply let its contract with UAL Corp. expire this Saturday. United responded by going to its bankruptcy judge asking him to block that, something he has the power to do. Atlantic says United isn't negotiating in good faith. The weekend will apparently go by without resolution of this. Judge Eugene Wedoff said Thursday he will hear from both sides in one week. Copyright(c) American City Business Journals Inc.
