WestJet adding flights for summer, plans next stage of Montreal rollout Canadian Press Wednesday, May 21, 2003 CALGARY (CP) - WestJet announced plans Wednesday for more flights this summer between its base in Calgary and several other Canadian cities, including Montreal. Effective June 7, WestJet will have two additional flights per week between Calgary and Montreal, where Air Canada is based. Later in the month, the airline will add flights between Calgary and Victoria, Kelowna and Vancouver, Edmonton and Victoria and Hamilton and Halifax. WestJet also reiterated plans to increase its Montreal service on July 21, with 14 weekly flights to Vancouver and 36 weekly flights to Hamilton. WestJet (TSX:WJA) currently serves 24 Canadian cities and plans to add St. John's, Nfld., on June 16 and Gander, Nfld., on June 17. It has also announced plans to withdraw service from the northern Ontario cities of Sault Ste.
