My point was that if UA folds, the City Of Denver may make some sweet deals
(like reducing those high fees) to get someone to replace UA. Under those
conditions, Southwest may be tempted.

If United stopped flying, the city would lose a heckuva lot of revenue. If
Denver's choice was an unused airport that wasn't making money vs. a used
airport that wasn't making money, I'm willing to bet they'd opt for the
latter (and reduce their fees to attract business).
