Their profit is cost driven, not revenue driven. Their cost base is about 30% lower than QF so their profit appears higher than it really is. Don't forget too that they were gifted about 4 or 5 years worth of growth overnight when Ansett went down the gurgler. DJ are typical of the Virgin Group as a whole, a handful of profitable routes subsidising a whole bunch of loss making ones.
