Little Rock airport to ban smoking LITTLE ROCK (AP) =97 In a matter of weeks, smoking anywhere inside the= Little=20 Rock National Airport will be banned. The city's Municipal Airport=20 Commission voted Tuesday to ban smoking entirely. The change is expected to= =20 take a month or two to implement, both to get signs ready and to make=20 travelers aware of the ban, officials say. "There will be no smoking inside= =20 the terminal building, period, in any location," commission chairman Gary=20 Smith said. Currently, only two venues in the airport permit smoking =97 the= =20 River Bend Bar and Grill and the Ouachita Brew House. The River Bend is=20 outside the secured travelers-only section of the airport; the Brew House=20 is inside it. Smoking also is allowed outside the airport terminal.=20 Officials with HMS Host and Platinum Management, the companies that handle= =20 concessions at the airport, worried the change would hurt food and drink=20 sales, as smokers might not linger inside the airport anymore. About 2.5=20 million passengers come through the airport annually. *************************************************** The owner of Roger's Trinbago Site/TnTisland.com Roj (Roger James) escape email mailto:ejames@xxxxxxxxx Trinbago site: www.tntisland.com Carib Brass Ctn site www.tntisland.com/caribbeanbrassconnection/ Steel Expressions www.mts.net/~ejames/se/ Site of the Week: http://www.cso.gov.tt TnT Webdirectory: http://search.co.tt *********************************************************
