Boeing confirms U.S. investigation of bidding process WASHINGTON (Reuters) ? The Justice Department is investigating whether Boeing (BA) used documents from a competitor in a bid to win a military contract, and Boeing is cooperating fully, the company confirmed Monday. "There is an investigation going on and Boeing is cooperating fully with it," said company spokesman Dan Beck. He said Boeing planned to disclose the investigation in a document to be filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission later Monday, but gave no further details. The Wall Street Journal reported Monday that the Justice Department had launched a criminal and civil investigation into whether Boeing gathered sensitive documents of rival Lockheed Martin while bidding to make the rockets used to launch government satellites. Beck said he could not comment on the investigation or when it had begun. *************************************************** The owner of Roger's Trinbago Site/TnTisland.com Roj (Roger James) escape email mailto:ejames@xxxxxxxxx Trinbago site: www.tntisland.com Carib Brass Ctn site www.tntisland.com/caribbeanbrassconnection/ Steel Expressions www.mts.net/~ejames/se/ Site of the Week: http://www.cso.gov.tt TnT Webdirectory: http://search.co.tt *********************************************************
