Hawaiian reaches agreement on restructuring some aircraft leases HONOLULU (AP) ? Hawaiian Airlines said Wednesday that it had reached agreement with one of its aircraft lessors on a restructuring of the financial terms of leases for four Boeing 767 aircraft. The airline, which filed for bankruptcy protection March 21, said the agreement with International Lease Finance Corp. was subject to review by Hawaiian's creditors committee and approval of U.S. Bankruptcy Court. In connection with the agreement, Hawaiian said it and the company have also agreed on an extension of a 60-day period that a Chapter 11 debtor is permitted to defer payment of rent on its aircraft. The extension will give the airline and International Lease time to document their agreement and to seek final court approval, Hawaiian said. "We are gratified to have reached this agreement and are appreciative of the farsighted approach ILFC has taken with regard to these negotiations," said John Adams, Hawaiian's chairman and chief executive officer. "This agreement brings us one step closer to creating a more viable, competitive business model for the future," he said. *************************************************** The owner of Roger's Trinbago Site/TnTisland.com Roj (Roger James) escape email mailto:ejames@xxxxxxxxx Trinbago site: www.tntisland.com Carib Brass Ctn site www.tntisland.com/caribbeanbrassconnection/ Steel Expressions www.mts.net/~ejames/se/ Site of the Week: http://www.pscutt.com TnT Webdirectory: http://search.co.tt *********************************************************
