Now, the 'new' US Airways also has a new 15-member Board of Directors. We can only hope that these folks will be more accountable than the last group of stiffs. By the way, two members from the old board have been retained. #1 Dr. David G. Bronner, the CEO of Retirement Systems of Alabama. I assure you, this guy will be calling the shots as he has 8 of the 15 seats and majority control. RSA's voting interest will be 71.6%. #2 David N. Siegel, CEO of US Airways. #3 Rono J. Dutta, former CEO of United Airlines and 'advisor' to David Bronner. (I know, I know) #4 Cheryl Gruetzmacher Gordon, a partner at Apollo Management LP. #5 Bruce R. Lakefield, senior advisor to the investment policy committee of HGK Asset Management. #6 John McKenna, managing director at Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin. (no relation to Henry McKenna, the fine bourbon from Kentucky). #7 Hans Mirka, airline executive who's been around the block (Pan Am, Continental, American) #8 James M. Simon, Jr., worked for Central Intelligence Agency from 1975 to 2003. (maybe he can uncover some profits) #9 William T. Stephens, general counsel to RSA. #10 Robert L. Johnson, holdover from the old board. Neighbor of Stephen Wolf. Former Chairman of never-got-off-the-ground DC Air. #11 Raymond W. Smith, holdover from the old board. Board members 12-15 are union reps. Sorry, but these are token board members. It's a nice gesture that US Airways has union reps on the board, but I can assure you that these folks will have no say in the policy or decision making process. They're like pigeons on a ledge .. they're just there. At least they can look forward to a nice luncheon when board meetings are called. #12 William D. Pollock, ALPA rep #13 Joseph J.
