US Airways posts $76 mln February operating loss NEW YORK (Reuters) =97 US Airways, which exited Chapter 11 bankruptcy on=20 Monday, said Thursday its February operating loss fell 25% from January's=20 though revenues edged down. The No. 7 U.S. airline said its operating loss,= =20 which excludes interest expenses and various reorganization items, totaled= =20 $75.8 million in February, down from $101.3 million in January. Operating=20 revenues fell less than 1% to $473.8 million from $477 million. Including=20 interest and various reorganization items, the carrier said it lost $98=20 million in February, compared with $98.7 million in January. US Airways,=20 which is based in Arlington, Virginia, disclosed its results in a filing=20 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The airline emerged from= =20 Chapter 11 after fewer than eight months as a smaller carrier expected to=20 focus more on regional jets. It has cut annual operating costs by $1.9=20 billion and schedules 25% fewer flights than it did before the Sept. 11=20 attacks.
