Delta has just started 24 hr prior when checking in via their web site!!

I've often wondered how far in advance you could get a boarding pass if you
use the kiosk or checked a bag.  LUV only opens the gate an hour prior to
departure.  I've checked a bag 90 minutes in advance and received a
boarding
pass...dunno about four hours, though.
