No war fallout yet for airlines in T&T By Curtis Rampersad Express 03.25.03 Although the war in Iraq has been a major disruption to the airline=20 industry, carriers operating out of Trinidad and Tobago so far seem to be=20 weathering the slump that has affected the international environment.=20 National carrier BWIA reported that there has been no slowdown of=20 passengers and that no flights have been cancelled. Corporate=20 Communications manager Clint Williams said yesterday: =93Bookings aren=92t= =20 great but there are about average.=94 BWIA operates daily flights to New=20 York, Washington DC and Miami as well as flights to London, Manchester and= =20 several Caribbean destinations. American Airlines country manager Nisha=20 Maharaj said the airline=92s flights had not been changed and were on=20 schedule. American operates three daily flights=97two to Miami and one to= San=20 Juan, Puerto Rico. On Saturday, the airline has a Miami, San Juan and New=20 York service.
