WestJet 737 makes emergency landing Tuesday, March 11, 2003 A WestJet airliner made a safe emergency landing at the Kelowna airport Tuesday morning. Airport officials say the Boeing 737, with about 50 people on board, had just taken off when the pilot reported mechanical trouble. The plane returned safely to Kelowna around 9:15 a.m. as city firefighters stood by the tarmac. There's no word on what caused the mechanical problem. The jet was headed to Vancouver when the problems developed. *************************************************** The owner of Roger's Trinbago Site/TnTisland.com Roj (Roger James) escape email mailto:ejames@xxxxxxxxx Trinbago site: www.tntisland.com Carib Brass Ctn site www.tntisland.com/caribbeanbrassconnection/ Steel Expressions www.mts.net/~ejames/se/ Site of the Week: http://www.tha.gov.tt/ TnT Webdirectory: http://search.co.tt *********************************************************
