They were a staple on the EWR-LAX/DEN/SFO routes, in the late 80's early 90's.
Most, if not all, were ex-EA.

When I flew EWR-LAX regularly I always tried to get on the 747 they ran - it was a 3
class config so the upgrade was really nice. The A300 F seats were pretty bad - one
flight I went back in coach and sat that's how uncomfortable the seats were.
