I'm having problems parsing your question, so I'll answer a question that I
hope is similar to yours. :-)

There is no airliner formally designated as the MD-80. There are five
models of planes collectively referred to as the MD-80: MD-81, MD-82,
MD-83, MD-87, and MD-88. I know AA refers to their MD-82s and MD-83s as
Super 80s.

(I'll let someone else explore why there are some DC9-8x models as well as
MD-8x models on official paperwork.)
