AIRLINE: I heard on the news this morning that Westover Air Force Base in Chicopee, Massachusetts, will be one of the mail refueling points for commercial aircraft that transport troops to the Persian Gulf in the upcoming conflict. This will probably open the doors for some good spotting, if it is allowed by the military. After reading here that Northwest Airlines is one of the majors participating in this cargo drop, I bet they'd have some impressive equipment. Anyone in this area presently? What is the aircraft situation there now? According to the Internet, they have two runways 300x11000 and 150x6800 or roughly there of. From what I could tell, this airport resembles Hanscom AFB in that the runways are used by civil and military a/c. Mike Burris Cambridge, Massachusetts
