Continental Airlines Rewards Business Travelers With Bonus Miles Toward Elite Status
HOUSTON, Dec. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Continental Airlines
(NYSE: CAL) announced improvements to its OnePass program to make it easier
for business travelers to earn Elite status. Effective Jan. 1, 2003,
customers traveling on an unrestricted, economy class "Y" fare on Continental,
Copa or Azteca airlines will receive a 50-percent mileage bonus toward Elite
status. This change makes the OnePass Elite program, already recognized as
the best in the industry, even better.
In addition, from Jan. 1 through March 31, 2003, Continental Airlines
rolled over its triple segments/points promotion that allows OnePass members
traveling on unrestricted fares to earn up to six segments/points per
