Caribbean Air Services starts flights from New York to T&T T'dad Guardian, 12.12.02 Caribbean Air Services Ltd is wholly owned and operated by nationals of Trinidad and Tobago with its head office in New York in the heart of a thriving West Indian-oriented community in south Ozone Park Queens New York. With T&T's fast growing economy, investor confidence is once more instilled, there is the need for stronger air links between the US and Trinidad and Tobago. The president of CAS, Reshma Tiwary, along with the CEO Rovindranath Tiwary and vice-president Allan David accompanied the inaugural flight, along with members of the US press and officials of North American Airlines. The aircraft of choice is a Boeing 767-300, which has a capacity of 276 passengers and a large amount of cargo capacity. The inaugural flight touched down at Piarco International Airport on Saturday night. The service between T&T and New York will be on a weekly basis initially and gradually the airline anticipates adding more flights. Flights are currently scheduled for December 15, 20, 23, 28 then in January the 2, 6 and 10.
