Just how screwed up is UAL? Even Carl Icahn, the king of squeezing every last dime out of an airline, isn't interested in rescuing it. Remember about a year ago how he battled with AMR for the remains of TWA? Not the case this time around as the airline industry is in even worse condition and UAL has significantly more problems than TWA had. I guess we're lucky for small favors as Carl Icahn, Frank Lorenzo and Ed Beauvais are three men who should never be allowed to run an airline, let alone a snowblower! RT Simpson Phoenix
