Aurora makes emergency landing Last Updated Wed, 04 Dec 2002 20:14:39 CFB GREENWOOD, NOVA SCOTIA - A Canadian Forces Aurora patrol plane with 13 people on board made an emergency landing in Sydney, Nova Scotia, on Wednesday. The landing was made after the crew reported smoke in the cockpit. Search and rescue officials say the plane landed safely and there were no injuries. The Aurora is based at Canadian Forces Base Greenwood in Nova Scotia. The Canadian military operates 18 four-engine Auroras, which are used for maritime patrols.
