CFB GREENWOOD, NOVA SCOTIA - A Canadian Forces Aurora patrol plane with 13
people on board made an emergency landing in Sydney, Nova Scotia, on
Wednesday. The landing was made after the crew reported smoke in the
cockpit. Search and rescue officials say the plane landed safely and there
were no injuries. The Aurora is based at Canadian Forces Base Greenwood in
Nova Scotia. The Canadian military operates 18 four-engine Auroras, which
are used for maritime patrols.
