Rio de Janeiro, November 21, 2002 -- Asiana Airlines =20
will become the first airline to showcase an airplane =20
with the new Star Alliance promotional aircraft livery =20
when the Korean carrier officially joins The Airline =20
Network for Earth in March, 2003. With the Star Alliance=20
name painted in bold letters across a white fuselage and=20
the familiar alliance logo covering the full vertical =20
stabilizer, the aircraft will serve as a flying =20
billboard on Asiana's extensive route network. =20
                                                         =20
                                                         =20
The new design was approved today at a meeting of the =20
alliance's Chief Executive Board in Rio de Janeiro and =20
will be implemented by all member airlines. Each airline=20
is going to paint at least one aircraft with the new =20
livery. The operating carrier will be identified by its =20
logo located on the forward part of the aircraft =20
fuselage below the Star Alliance name. =20
                                                         =20
