There were no injuries and the 160 passengers aboard Flight 3 were taken from the plane on the runway and brought to the terminal aboard buses, said JetBlue spokeswoman Fiona Morrisson. She said that shortly after taking off from Buffalo, the pilot of the Airbus A320 noticed that the landing gear failed to retract. Port Authority emergency personnel at Kennedy Airport were advised and were standing by as a precaution when the plane landed. When some sparks were seen coming from the front landing gear, Port Authority crews hosed down the wheels as a precaution, but there was no fire, Morrisson said. She said the passengers were given a one-way credit as a way of apologizing for any inconvenience they experienced.
