Air Jamaica to launch second daily flight to LA Sunday, October 06, 2002 Jamaican Observer Air Jamaica will launch its second daily non-stop flight from the Los=20 Angeles International Airport to Montego Bay, on April 10, 2003. Air=20 Jamaica's flight 076 will depart Los Angeles daily at 7:30 am and will=20 arrive in Montego Bay at 3:20 pm. On the return, JM077 will depart Montego= =20 Bay at 2:35 pm and will arrive in Los Angeles at 6:25 pm. This flight will= =20 join Air Jamaica's existing evening flight from Los Angeles to Montego Bay.= =20 "We are very excited about increasing our service from the west coast,"=20 said Gordon "Butch" Stewart, Air Jamaica's chairman. "Los Angeles is an=20 important market for Air Jamaica. Los Angeles is a growing vacation market= =20 with more than 80% of all passengers being tourists. Air Jamaica offers the= =20 most convenient and direct airline service to the Caribbean available in=20 the region. We have no doubt that our second daily flight will do quite=20 well. "This new service really compliments Air Jamaica's existing evening=20 service by allowing passengers who prefer to travel during the day the ease= =20 and convenience of an afternoon flight - while our evening flight offers=20 easy connecting service through our Montego Bay hub to Antigua, Cura=E7ao,= =20 Havana, Barbados, Nassau, Bahamas, Bonaire, Grand Cayman, Grenada, Turks &= =20 Caicos, St Lucia and Belize (as of November 21st)," said Allen Chastanet,=20 vice president of Air Jamaica.
